Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen

Gloria Yoder is “Mrs. Yoder”. She grew up in Mt. Hope, the same town where she now owns of one of the area’s most outstanding local restaurants. Early in life, she was a oddity- an “English” child in a school where a majority of the students were Amish. Today, at the tables in her “kitchen”, Amish and English feast side by side. Both neighbors from down the road and travelers from far away know where to come when they crave a good, home-cooked meal. The restaurant is a favorite stop for locals, who come in to cool off or warm up on auction days, depending on the season. Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen has been serving quality food to the local community for over 15 years. People come from miles around to enjoy a home cooked meal. If the traditional Amish cooked meal isn’t for you, try some of our other mouth-watering dishes. From our BBQ Baby Back Ribs, to our succulent Pork Chops the choice is yours. There is something for everyone. We now offer full service catering to accommodate even more of your needs. Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen is located in the small village of Mt. Hope, Ohio across from the Mt. Hope Livestock Auction.

  1. Great Buffet!

Just enjoyed their great dinner buffet they offer on weekends (Friday and Saturday). Food included: Chicken, noodles, fish, popcorn shrimp, ribs, etc. But the star was the amazing mashed potatoes and gravy.

  2. Highly recommended

Food on the buffet was nice and hot and didn’t seem to be out to long so as to get soggy (which can be common at other local amish buffets).
Great staff, very attentive. Highly recommend.

  3. Affordable prices and good parking

2nd time here and certainly not the last. All you can eat homemade buffet and salad bar for a very affordable price. Plenty of parking!

  4. Great service and atmosphere!

We loved the food. The buffet was well stocked and all the food was at the perfect temperature. The service from the staff was very good and the atmosphere was very inviting.
