About
Eat where the locals eat! Mudd Valley Café & Creamery is located inside of Walnut Creek Cheese (Walnut Creek location) and is a full service eatery serving brunch, lunch, desserts, ice cream, and more! With seating on our upper level for over 300 people – we have more than enough room for you and your friends to enjoy lunch with us.
A complete transformation was recently completed for Mudd Valley Cafe (May 2016) with the ordering and kitchen operation all moved to the upper level. Take the elevator or the stairs, and you’ll find yourself in an eclectic cafe serving a selection of fresh menu items.
From hot sandwiches, fresh burgers, and our very own Mudd Valley Stacks, you’re sure to find a new favorite. Our slogan for the cafe says it all: brunch. lunch. desserts!
Located on the main level of our Walnut Creek store, our Mudd Valley Creamery is famous in Amish Country. We sell more than 40,000 of our homemade custard cups for local weddings, parties, and special events. Mudd Valley Custard is our own secret recipe that has a smooth creamy taste that you won’t find anywhere else.
Pick from Vanilla, Chocolate, and our special “Flavor of the Day.” Or you can order a specialty sundae like our Buckeye Blast (Homemade custard with peanut butter, hot fudge, and real buckeye candies), Homemade Brownie Sundae, Turtle Sundae, and many more. Are you more of a flurry or milkshake person? We have those too!
Hosting an event? We have catering packages for our stacks that take all the worry out of your next event. We’ll provide the food, serving dishes, warmers, and utensils. For more information, view the brochure at the link below, or call our cafe at 330-852-6324.

This is a cafe-style eatery located on the second floor of the Walnut Creek Cheese Shop. (There is also a grocery store, bakery and kitchen supplies shop in the building.) The sandwiches here are delicious, especially my favorite, the Off the Bone Ham Sandwich. Orders are placed at the counter and you’re given one of those light-up notifiers that alerts you when your order is ready. There is ample seating, so even if the place is busy you should have no trouble getting a seat. A local favorite, stacks, are also available on the menu and worth a try. You can’t go wrong here so give it a try.
We had lunch at Mudd Valley. I got a hamburger, and the meat was very good quality. Fries were slightly salty. Next time I’ll try something like the homemade macaroni salad, which my wife had and liked. Their fruit cups are awesome too if you have little ones especially. The atmosphere is the best part. It’s nice and open. You don’t feel cramped. You can just relax and enjoy a quiet lunch.
This place is in the walnut creek cheese market. They have lots of items, sundaes, cones, shakes, and even baked apples. When I looked at the menu, I thought the price was expensive at 2.99 for kid size. I had 2 scoops of ice cream at troyer market so i thought it was ridiculous. Then the person in line order the kid size icre cream and it had like 5 scoops in it. so i take that back. i order a shake for 3.59. They make it out of fresh home made custard too. it was delicious. one of the best ever. so definitely come back .
We stop here during every visit to Amish Country for a quick lunch or snack. The soft serve ice cream flavor changes daily! My advice is to get a waffle cone full of it and make it your lunch! 🙂
The actual food is great too. Generous portions. I’ve been happy with everything that I’ve had from burrito bowls to sandwiches to salads. Super fresh. Excellent prices.
